Event Post 12 - Haunted House Halloween Party
*Today is the day for Yuya's Haunted House Halloween Party, taking place in the practical dueling test arena!
The place is entirely decked out in spooky, creepy décor.
On the upper walkway, tables are set up with various Halloween themed snacks, including punch bowls, filled with blood red (berry) punch, complete with floating plastic eyeballs. There are also bowls full of candy which may or may not have plastic spiders mixed in amongst the yummy goodness.
Each table is decorated with candle holders with (battery powered) candles. On the candle sticks and all around the walls are fake spider webs.
There are also a number of carved pumpkins dotted about.
Down the stairs in the arena is the dance area, where you can dance to the music, some of which is halloween themed! There is also a smoke machine that occasionally lets out puffs of smoke to make the dance floor look all foggy.
About an hour into the party, you're all in for a surprise! All the lights and music cut out, leaving the area dark, except for the candles which is now the only source of light.
Was it a powercut??
Then, suddenly a spotlight turns on, pointing towards the upper walkway where a figure wearing a dark coloured cape with a hood over their head and a white mask over the upper part of their face, is sat upon the barrier surrounding it. This might of been scary if it wasn't for the fact that you can obviously see Yuya's tomato hair poking out from under the hood.
"Greetings, everyone!" he announces. "And welcome to the party here at the haunted house. I am known as 'The Phantom' and I will be your host for this evening. I hope you find everything to your liking and that you enjoy our wonderful delicacies, such as the blood punch, severed finger sausages and the candy bowls full of spiders." With that, Yuya stands up on the barrier, which miiiight make a few people worried that he might fall. "I do hope that you all have a wonderful spooky evening~!"
With that, Yuya bows to everyone, signalling the end of his little 'performance' and the spotlight turns off. When all the lights and the music come back on, he's vanished~!
As always, create threads, threadhop, and have fun!
Happy Halloween~!

*oh my god Kai has the appropriate icons for this.
The boy is wearing not one, but two masks-- one of an oni and one of a what appears to be a fox, on the sides of his head. He's also wearing a yellow hakama, it seems, with a (thankfully fake) sword sheathed at his side.
He's currently at the food table though. ... making sure there aren't literal spiders maybe in the candy bowls.*

WHAAAGH!
*he cries out at the sudden appearance of the realistic spider, flailing and getting it off. ... before realizing it's not moving at least.*
What the--
no subject
Sorry! That was too good to pass up!

*oh-- haha very funny Yuya. he gives a nervous sounding laugh, putting the fake spider down.*
Did I look that much like a target?
no subject
Not too good with spiders, hm?

You did freak out pretty bad there, but I guess a lot of people have spider phobias.

Ahaha, well, it's no problem anyway. Now if it were a real spider... *he puts his hand by the fake sword*
I might feel need to reclaim my honor, Mr. Phantom.
no subject
But I'm merely a phantom entertainer with no weapons to speak of...! Though... you'd have to catch me first anyway!
no subject
What, you think I can't catch you?
no subject
I know you won't catch me!
no subject
Is that a bet?
I think I could do it, if I really try.

::Poking your sword.::

Of course not, of course not! Where would I ever get a real sword?

More like I haven't tried at all! I don't want to find some buried sword. It'd probably be cursed.

I'd like to think at least that I know to not pick up strange objects that've been previously buried and left to the sands of time, yes.

Is it really that impressive? That I have some sense? What kind of impression have I been giving...?
