Event Post 16 - Visiting Hours

*A day after the events, leading to the duel between Yuya and Yuma, Yuya had woke up to find himself at the Academy's infirmary.
He was covered in scrapes, bruising and some burns, but thankfully nothing that wouldn't heal on it's own fully in time. Even his left leg was thankfully not too heavily injured, just currently swollen with some minor puncture wounds. He was still in a lot of pain, and he was still exhausted, but he was going to be okay.
Laying in the infirmary bed, he just stared up at the ceiling of the room in a daze. He'd seen more than enough of the infirmary last year and he really hadn't wanted to start off the new year back in this place, but, it couldn't be helped. In the end, he was just glad that he was able to return Yuma back to normal.
Though he wondered what kind of impact all this would have on his friend when he woke up.
Right now, Yuma, who was in the bed next to his, was still unconscious and he expected him to stay like that for a while longer yet. He'd really pushed himself to, and beyond, his own limits thanks to the influence the chaotic energy had over him.
It was going to take a while for Yuma to recover from that.
On the table, beside his bed, was his duel disk. On top of it was the dragon he used in the duel with Yuma.
'Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon'.
Feel free to pay him a visit.*

*Yuya looks up at Koyo for a moment, then lets out a tired, amused grunt.*
... I think the infirmary staff have started taking bets on how long it takes for me or Yuma to end up back in here.
*Well, at least his sense of humour is intact.*

I'd hate to see your insurance rate.

*He lets out a sigh.*
To be honest, I've never really gotten badly hurt doing my entertainment dueling, well, before coming to this Academy, that is.
My worst injuries have been all from ... more serious duels.

*He nods slightly.*
Yeah.
Duels where someone wishes to do serious harm to another person.
Those aren't duels I agree with. I feel dueling shouldn't be used that way, but those kinds of duels have sort of become commonplace for me and Yuma.
We've been getting mixed up in a lot of crazy stuff.

But yes, it is worrisome all of this has become so common lately.

*He looks at him curiously.*
A way of preventing worse things?

To explain: What if the conflict of nations was solved by say, a game of Baseball. Not a perfect analogy, but.

Hmmn... I guess a 'magical contest' would generally hurt a lot less people. Usually these dark games just involve people in the area it happens in.
Still...
*He gives out a bit of a tired sigh. He'd not really considered that, but he still didn't really like the idea of them either.*

You know you don't always have to be the one to 'fix' things.
no subject
*Yuya looks back over to him.*
I know I don't 'have' to be, but I'd never turn my back on a friend who needs help.
no subject
But don't put the entire earth on your shoulders. I've gotten to like you and Tsukumo. And I don't want to see you two kill yourselves. And your friends probably feel the same way.

Yuma and I don't go looking for trouble.
Trouble just tends to find us.
A lot.
But... we definitely don't want to upset our friends and family because of things like this.

Do you... feel like that? I don't want to make anyone feel like they're useless. Our friends are the most important thing Yuma and I have!

... we only do what we feel is the right thing to do at the time. In this situation there wasn't much else I could do but duel Yuma myself.
