Event Post 16 - Visiting Hours

*A day after the events, leading to the duel between Yuya and Yuma, Yuya had woke up to find himself at the Academy's infirmary.
He was covered in scrapes, bruising and some burns, but thankfully nothing that wouldn't heal on it's own fully in time. Even his left leg was thankfully not too heavily injured, just currently swollen with some minor puncture wounds. He was still in a lot of pain, and he was still exhausted, but he was going to be okay.
Laying in the infirmary bed, he just stared up at the ceiling of the room in a daze. He'd seen more than enough of the infirmary last year and he really hadn't wanted to start off the new year back in this place, but, it couldn't be helped. In the end, he was just glad that he was able to return Yuma back to normal.
Though he wondered what kind of impact all this would have on his friend when he woke up.
Right now, Yuma, who was in the bed next to his, was still unconscious and he expected him to stay like that for a while longer yet. He'd really pushed himself to, and beyond, his own limits thanks to the influence the chaotic energy had over him.
It was going to take a while for Yuma to recover from that.
On the table, beside his bed, was his duel disk. On top of it was the dragon he used in the duel with Yuma.
'Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon'.
Feel free to pay him a visit.*

You hear the familiar sound of a cane against the floor, as Shirou steps in...*

*Yuya casts a tired glance over at the door when they enter the room. He had a feeling that he would be seeing Sadame at some point, so he wasn't surprised when he saw him enter the room behind Shirou.*
Shirou. Samasu-sensei.
*He lifts his hand up in a half attempt to greet them with a wave.*
Hey.
no subject
But that isn't compared to Shirou, whose usually calm expression is most definitely full of concern.*
Are... Are you going to be alright? After what happened...
no subject
Yeah. I'm going to be fine. Just need to take the time to rest and heal.
*Yuya pauses for a moment, before continuing.*
I'm... sorry that happened while you were with us.

::Standing over you.::
Are you ever not getting hurt?
no subject
*Yuya looks up at Koyo for a moment, then lets out a tired, amused grunt.*
... I think the infirmary staff have started taking bets on how long it takes for me or Yuma to end up back in here.
*Well, at least his sense of humour is intact.*

I'd hate to see your insurance rate.
no subject
*He lets out a sigh.*
To be honest, I've never really gotten badly hurt doing my entertainment dueling, well, before coming to this Academy, that is.
My worst injuries have been all from ... more serious duels.

Sakaki-kun, I enjoy your exuberance but it would help if you would stop trying to get yourself killed, and being what the infirmary calls a "Yuuki Special".
no subject
*Yuya looks up at her from where he is laying.*
"Yuuki Special"? Was Juudai in here as often as we are when he was at the Academy?
And I wasn't trying to get myself killed...
... I was saving a friend. *He glances over at the comatose Yuma in the next bed.* Because he lost his way for a little bit and needed the help to come back.

*Yuya sits up slightly, cringing slightly as he does. He looks a bit frustrated as he casts his eyes back on Noriko.*
I don't think I really had the option of 'taking better care of myself'.
Yuma was angry, confused and couldn't tell friend from foe at all while he was surrounded by that chaotic energy! There's nothing else I could of done but face him head on and try to dispel that energy!! Had I run off to get help, it would of run the risk of Yuma accidentally hurting someone else while I did so and Shirou wouldn't of been able to get help himself!

And pinches Yuya's cheek.]

*Well that certainly brings him out of his daze!*
A-aah!! H-Hey! Ow! That's huuurrts!
no subject
[Okay, his eyes were CLEARLY open.]

*He adorably puffs his cheeks in annoyance.*
Heeey! I was obviously awake! I don't need more pain than I already have!

Geez, and I thought my track record with the medics was bad when I was here...
[That's a large man in a duster jacket leaning against the far wall. When did we get here.]
no subject
E-Eh?!
*Yuya looks at Onni and wonders when he actually got there. Man, he must of REALLY been spacing not to notice him.*
Wakahisa-sensei said I'm what is known as a 'Yuuki Special'.
no subject
[ He's walking over, but still keeping enough distance so Yuya doesn't feel too threatened.]
Sakaki Yuya, right? I don't think we've been formally introduced. The name's Onni. I'm the head of the "Special Investigations" department of Domino's police force.
no subject
*He then goes briefly silent as Onni approaches.*
Hey, you're also the guy Wakahisa-sensei showed me pictures of earlier!

*Three days after Yuya had woken up, Yuma had begun stirring and was fully awake by the evening.
If you really could call it 'fully awake'.
He was still quite out of it and wasn't really up to talking much to the infirmary staff. They tried to get him to eat a little bit, but he wasn't really interested, so they decided to just leave him to rest a little longer.
Late that night, Yuma's dreams were plagued by the memories from the duel which made him toss and turn in his bed. Memories of how he acted, how he felt, how much he had hurt Yuya... he had felt so much anger, rage, frustration, guilt...
Waking with a start, Yuma gasped and sat upright in his bed, instantly regretting it as a wave of pain coursed through his body. After it had subsided, he just sat there for a moment, holding his head in his hands, on the verge of crying, before laying back down on his side and closing his eyes again.
He couldn't really stop the tears from forming in them as he laid there in silence. His thoughts all jumbled up*

*Yuya hadn't been able to sleep much himself, that night, so while laying in his bed, he could hear Yuma tossing and turning and then eventually waking up. Concerned for him, Yuya sat up in his bed and shuffled himself to the edge, before pulling back the curtain divider.*
Yuma. Is everything okay?
*Yuma had his back to Yuya, but the visible flinch when Yuya spoke told him that his friend was awake.*
no subject
*Yuma remained silent for a moment. Yuya was beginning to think he wasn't willing to talk right now and was about to lay back down when Yuma finally replied, still keeping his back to his friend.*
...I'm sorry, Yuya.
This all happened because I decided to take on that Barian and ignored your advice to leave. Because I used that card when I knew it was unstable.
*The emotion and upset in his voice was clear as he spoke.*
no subject
Yuma... I'm not angry about what happened, I'm just glad that you're okay.
