Event Post 16 - Visiting Hours

*A day after the events, leading to the duel between Yuya and Yuma, Yuya had woke up to find himself at the Academy's infirmary.
He was covered in scrapes, bruising and some burns, but thankfully nothing that wouldn't heal on it's own fully in time. Even his left leg was thankfully not too heavily injured, just currently swollen with some minor puncture wounds. He was still in a lot of pain, and he was still exhausted, but he was going to be okay.
Laying in the infirmary bed, he just stared up at the ceiling of the room in a daze. He'd seen more than enough of the infirmary last year and he really hadn't wanted to start off the new year back in this place, but, it couldn't be helped. In the end, he was just glad that he was able to return Yuma back to normal.
Though he wondered what kind of impact all this would have on his friend when he woke up.
Right now, Yuma, who was in the bed next to his, was still unconscious and he expected him to stay like that for a while longer yet. He'd really pushed himself to, and beyond, his own limits thanks to the influence the chaotic energy had over him.
It was going to take a while for Yuma to recover from that.
On the table, beside his bed, was his duel disk. On top of it was the dragon he used in the duel with Yuma.
'Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon'.
Feel free to pay him a visit.*

I guess we all kinda let our guard down a bit, huh.

This is why I need to be more aware, Sakaki-kun.
no subject
Sometimes it feels like whenever we do dare let our guard down, something happens.

You know, it's kinda crazy. We thought that after Desperado things would go back to normal, but then there was this whole Number Hunters and Barian thing.
I guess me and Yuma sort of attract trouble, huh.

I think that is unfair to think that.
It is very easy to place the blame upon yourself, for things like this happening. But that means it can be very easily positioned that the blame falls upon others.
You shouldn't think that of yourself, Yuya.

*Yuya looks up at him for a moment, before letting out a small sigh.*
...I guess you're right. Nothing really comes out of blaming ourselves, or blaming others.
no subject
... But I do want to at least see you feel like you can take on circumstances like this, even if they are sudden.

*He's silent for a moment, but then gives him a nod.*
I guess that would be the best thing to do. I really don't want to feel like I have to be cautious or paranoid all the time.
no subject
... For now, however, you do need to recover. You cannot do anything while your leg is still injured, I would imagine.
no subject
Yeah, I can't put much weight on that leg right now.

*.... he glances over at the unconscious Yuma*
I will be back to speak with Tsukumo-kun, when he awakens. ... I hope it is soon.

They say that he'll be fine with rest, but... *He looks over to him.* They don't think he'll be awake for a while yet.

I don't mind at all. I think that'd be great.

Thank you.
I hope your leg gets better sooner than later.
no subject
I hope so too. It's just a matter of resting it and waiting for the swelling to go down.
