Event Post 16 - Visiting Hours

*A day after the events, leading to the duel between Yuya and Yuma, Yuya had woke up to find himself at the Academy's infirmary.
He was covered in scrapes, bruising and some burns, but thankfully nothing that wouldn't heal on it's own fully in time. Even his left leg was thankfully not too heavily injured, just currently swollen with some minor puncture wounds. He was still in a lot of pain, and he was still exhausted, but he was going to be okay.
Laying in the infirmary bed, he just stared up at the ceiling of the room in a daze. He'd seen more than enough of the infirmary last year and he really hadn't wanted to start off the new year back in this place, but, it couldn't be helped. In the end, he was just glad that he was able to return Yuma back to normal.
Though he wondered what kind of impact all this would have on his friend when he woke up.
Right now, Yuma, who was in the bed next to his, was still unconscious and he expected him to stay like that for a while longer yet. He'd really pushed himself to, and beyond, his own limits thanks to the influence the chaotic energy had over him.
It was going to take a while for Yuma to recover from that.
On the table, beside his bed, was his duel disk. On top of it was the dragon he used in the duel with Yuma.
'Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon'.
Feel free to pay him a visit.*

*Carefully, Yuya reached out to the table beside his bed, taking hold of the card of Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon, before standing up and walking steadily over to Yuma's bed, sitting down beside him.*
What you took it out on was what you believed to be someone to blame for what happened to Heartland, you didn't know it was me. The chaotic energy brought forward everything you'd kept buried and made you believe you were fighting what was causing you pain.
Nothing of what happened could ever sever the bond of friendship we have, Absolute is proof of that. *He held up the card to show him.*
Even when you thought I was someone else using my cards, that bond and loyalty was still there.

*Yuma looked down at the card.*
I remember.
I remember when you summoned that.
It was like... it began clearing the cloud hanging over me and I began to see things clearer. I was in so much pain and I was so tired and it was like you just appeared from nowhere to help me.
The last thing I remember is feeling relief.
So much relief.
*As he spoke, Yuya noticed the tears that were now falling freely from Yuma's eyes.*

*Eventually getting overwhelmed with emotion, Yuma's face scrunched up, as he lowered his head and held it in his hands, allowing himself to cry a bit more freely.*
Thank you, Yuya.
Thank you for helping me.

*Yuya raised his hand, placing it on Yuma's back reassuringly as his friend cried before him.*
We're all here to support you, Yuma. Me and everyone else.
You don't have to go through any of this on your own.
*Through the tears, Yuma gave a small nod.
Yuya knew that Yuma was now not only in the beginning process of accepting what happened to him, he was also finally beginning to move towards properly mourning for his hometown and all those that he knew there.
Knowing that, Yuya continued sitting with Yuma for as long as his friend needed him to.*
