Event 26 - [Day 5]
*For the last two days, Yuya had remained unconscious in the hospital after being found in the park by Yuzu. No-one knew what had happened to him and the hospital could not find anything wrong with him, so they assumed that he was suffering from exhaustion.
But on the morning on the third day, Yuya finally woke up.
Although groggy and unable to think straight at first, he instantly recognized Yuzu and his mother who were at his bedside.
A few hours (and one unappetising bland hospital meal) later, he is now coherent enough to talk about what happened to him.*

[Yuzu had to restrain herself from grabbing hold of him as soon as he woke up, but (with a bit of help from Yoko), she managed to wait until he could at least get his bearings. She hasn't left his side the whole time since he woke up, though. She's just extremely relieved that he's finally okay.]
How're you feeling?

*He gives her a small reassuring smile in response, knowing that she's probably been really worried about him.*
A lot better now I've had something to eat. I think I'll be fine in another few hours.

[She reaches forward and wraps her arms around him.]

*Yuya wraps his arms around her too in response. He felt a little guilty for worrying her, as well as his mom and everyone else.*

[She looks around. She makes sure nobody is there...then...she gulps.]

*Yuya looks at her silently for a moment, then gives her a small nod.*
Yes. He was.
Sora was there too, at first.
They were dueling each other when I came across them.

Yeah, they are.
Yuto explained the situation to me.
*He takes a slow deep breath. This was going to take some explaining.*
Apparently, there are different dimensions that mirror our own: Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and then our world, which is called Standard.
Though, unlike our world, the other dimensions only focus on one summoning method.
Sora is from Fusion, where Yuto and Kurosaki are from Xyz.
Sora was from a place called 'Academia' in the Fusion Dimension, a duel academy that trains duel soldiers and... they invaded Yuto and Kurosaki's home.
Then... they attacked here. That's what happened to Heartland.
Yuto's home in the Xyz Dimension was also a city named Heartland.

The people that kidnapped Ruri, Yuto's comrade and Kurosaki's sister, the people that destroyed Heartland, Yuma's home...was Sora really associated with them? Not to mention the idea that he wasn't even from this dimension.]
Geez...
I mean, we knew there were the Duel Spirit dimensions out there but...other dimensions exactly like ours...?
And...the people that destroyed Heartland. [She gulps.] ...Sora is from that place?

*Yuya gives her another small and slow nod.*
During his duel with Yuto, he said he was an 'Elite from Academia' and that he'd been given a mission here.
But that duel was never finished. Sora ended up vanishing right before my eyes when he was trying to summon something. Yuto told me that he'd been sent back to the Fusion Dimension.
*His eyes then narrow slightly, looking slightly more troubled than they already were, as he began recalling the rest of the nights events.*
But... that's not all of what happened that night.

Eventually, someone else showed up out of nowhere on a D-Wheel.
Another guy who looked like me.
Yugo.
It seemed that Yugo and Yuto had battled before and had unfinished business, so they started dueling instead.
Yugo used Synchro summoning and also had a dragon.
Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.
*Slowly he reaches over for his duel disk and brings out a card from it: Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon.*

[Yuzu's eyes widen. If Yuya has that dragon...]
W-wait! Where's Yuto now?!

*Not looking up from the card in his hand, Yuya shakes his head slowly.*
I don't know.
The duel between him and Yugo became really intense, so I stepped in between them to try and stop them, but when Yugo attacked, Yuto pushed me out of the way of it and took the brunt of the attack.
He saved me.
Afterwards I ran over to him to see if he was okay. That's when he handed me this card and told me to make people smile with my dueling.
... I don't remember anything else after that.
*After a moment, his face becomes visibly more upset as the frustration over the situation built more and more. Eventually he just places his other hand over his face.*
I don't get it. Why did Yuto tell me that and give me this card? And why do he and Yugo look so much like me?!
I don't understand what's going on!

More than that though, seeing Yuya so upset and confused by this is hurting her, too. She reaches an arm out and wraps it around him.]
Yuya...
I...I dunno, but...we'll figure this out, okay?!
If Yuto said that stuff to you... [She gulps.] Then I think he really is our friend! And if he was hurt in that duel, then we should focus on finding him, first! Then...we can all figure this out!
There's gotta be a reason for all of this stuff! We just need to find it, together!
[She's trying her hardest to sound confident, but she's pretty shaken by all of this, honestly.]

*As she wraps her arm around him, Yuya removes his hand slowly from his face and looks at her. Although still looking troubled, he gives her a small nod.*
Yeah. You're right.
*He lets himself lean against her slightly, allowing the small embrace calm him down a bit. He knew this whole situation was confusing and frustrating for the both of them. After all, Yuzu also had people who looked like her, too and she'd met Yuto previously, as well.
But no matter what, they had each other.
They were in this situation together and they'd figure it out together.
After a few quiet moments, he speaks again.*
Kurosaki is Yuto's friend, so if anyone's heard from Yuto at all, it would be him. Though he's not the easiest person to talk to.
Also...
*He glances once more at the card in his hand.*
Yuto mentioned something else to me.
That Akaba Reiji is aware of what's going on, and that he's been planning something.
I wasn't able to question him further on it.
But... we wouldn't be able to just go up to and ask him about it.
One of us would have to win the Wonder Quartet to get that duel with him and ask him then.

Yeah. I'm kinda not surprised with that either, really.

*Yuya looks up and his face freezes when he sees Isao staring at him from the doorway.
Something told Yuya that he wasn't here for a friendly visit to see how he was doing.*
