Event 27 - After Finals Party

*Today is the day for Yuya's After Finals Party which is being held at the Obelisk Blue male dorms, in their huge events hall. This party is for everyone to celebrate their finals success and to see off the students graduating this year.
It is also open to new students, who will be starting the Academy in the new semester!

For Yuya, this is the last event he will be hosting at the academy as their events organiser, so anyone familiar with his parties will notice he's gone all out on everything! There's a very gold and red theme with the decorations that are everywhere, including gold and red balloons, streamers and tassels. There is also plenty of food and drink at the buffet table.

One side of the hall has tables and chairs, with balloons as their centre pieces. There is also a dance floor on the other side of the hall.

There is no particular dress code for the party, though dressing up in nice party clothes was encouraged!

*Well, of course Yuzu's approaching you, Yuya. She's wearing a very pink party dress that would look weird on anyone else but her, really.* That was sure a speech, there. Gonna miss throwing these parties?

*Yuya looks over at her, giving her a smile as she approaches him.*

Yeah. I've really enjoyed putting them together over the last three years. It was a lot of work to organise them but they were all worth it, just to see everyone enjoying themselves and having fun.

I'll say. People seem to have really appreciated the work you've put into all of this... *she laughs a bit* If you weren't going to focus on dueling, you could probably make your own event planning business, if you tried.

*He laughs back.*

Well, I guess, if anything, I have a second career option open to me if I need it, but I'll probably just keep it as a hobby.

After all, I have a lot of friends with birthdays I can still do parties for!

Right! Now that you don't need to go to class anymore, you'll have a lot more time to throw these parties. But...

*... seems a little anxious, as she tries to think of the words here* ... Well, have you thought more about what you want to do, after this?

Well... *He thinks for a moment.* ... I think my main aim is to concentrate fully on the Super Junior League and do my best there in standing out amongst the duelists there. After all, the SLJ is pretty much supposed to be our gateway into the actual Pro-Leagues.

Hnmm, well... *she gives a mischievous grin.* I sure hope I don't end up leaving you in the dust if my Tag Duel event with Miss Akae goes so well that I end up being propelled into the Pros.

*He gives a mischievous grin back.*

Well, if you do, I'll just have to make sure to catch up!

Though, good luck in that tag duel. You've worked really hard to get to where you are. If anybody deserves this chance, it's you.

*she gives a much more genuine smile, but she's also blushing at your words* Eheh... Thanks, Yuya. I just-- I have to make sure this goes well! So I can start moving up, and then I can start giving attention back to You Show Duel School! We've been... We've been both working hard these past few years. I hope you get your chance soon, too.

*Yuya pauses for a moment as he looks over at her. He couldn't help but notice how the pink dress she was wearing really suited her.
Giving a soft smile, Yuya casually holds out a hand to her.*

I-- uh-- *come on Yuzu! take your chance! you can do it! ... don't get cold feet NOW! you're an entertainer, you can handle one dance with Yuya if you can handle dueling in front of a crowd!* I mean-- s-sure! Sure! Of course I'd want to! *taking your hand, but she's obviously kinda flustered up now*

*He can see she's flustered, so he keeps the soft smile on his face as he gently leads her out onto the dance floor by the hand.*

With all these parties I've thrown over the last few years, we never really got the chance to dance together, huh.

N-no, not really. *she's led out, still obviously distracted by yelling at herself to not freeze up like a dummy* You're usually really-- really really busy with organizing this stuff! I don't want to distract you from that. You put in a lot of effort here, Yuya.

Yeah, I guess I do get kinda busy at these things, but we should at least have one dance at my last party here!

*Once they're on the dance floor, he leads her into starting a slow dance with him.*

*what an appropriate icon, I bet there's even sparkles in Yuzu's vision as she dances.*

R-right! Gotta make the most of it! The most memories and-- and all of that! Can't be all work.

*Yuya lets out a little chuckle.*

Exactly! And the memories we have of these parties, and the time we spent with others, are something we'll carry with us forever.
I'm really glad I was able to give you and everyone those memories.

And Yuzu... *He pauses his sentence for a moment, as if the words he wanted to say didn't come to him right away, but eventually he gives her a sweet, warm smile.* ... thanks for being so supportive over these events and, y'know, just in general.

*He wasn't sure why he wanted to say that. After all, he knew that Yuzu knew he's always grateful for her support, but for some reason, he just wanted to make sure she knew it. After all, they'd both been through some really tough times at the Academy, but they'd always managed to get through everything together.*
