Event 27 - After Finals Party

*Today is the day for Yuya's After Finals Party which is being held at the Obelisk Blue male dorms, in their huge events hall. This party is for everyone to celebrate their finals success and to see off the students graduating this year.
It is also open to new students, who will be starting the Academy in the new semester!

For Yuya, this is the last event he will be hosting at the academy as their events organiser, so anyone familiar with his parties will notice he's gone all out on everything! There's a very gold and red theme with the decorations that are everywhere, including gold and red balloons, streamers and tassels. There is also plenty of food and drink at the buffet table.

One side of the hall has tables and chairs, with balloons as their centre pieces. There is also a dance floor on the other side of the hall.

There is no particular dress code for the party, though dressing up in nice party clothes was encouraged!

*Tomoko is here!
Maybe she isn't a full time student at Duel Academy yet, but this year she's one of the few students being accepted on an advanced placement at the school, while finishing up her last year at the Domino Academy.

Dressed in a simple cute pink dress with hearts on it and a little white purse hanging over her shoulder to her side, she's making starry eyes at all the nice looking desserts!

Then she looks left. Then right. Then she quickly takes an eclair and then... puts it in her purse, before quickly making a 'ssshh' sound, holding her finger in front of her mouth.

What has she smuggled into the party?*

::A girl with twin tails walks past you, noticing you Shhhiing. Hrms.::

*Tomoko notices her looking, so she quickly attempts to pretend all is good and innocent.*

Hellooooo fellow party goer! What a nice evening we're having!

30 seconds to let me into your scam, or I'm busting your operation.

::Cracks knuckles.::

It's not a scam! It's just... well...

*She opens her purse and the cute furry head of a Key Mouse pops up from it.*

I snuck him into the party.

... Huh.

::Her expression softens.::

Reminds me of my pet cat Bohr.

*Tomoko's face lights up the instant you mention that.*

You have a cat? Do you have pictures? I have a cat too! Like, a non-duel spirit one. Her name is Cairo.

Had. Haven't seen him in a while.

And no. I kinda wish I did.

Man. I miss him.

::Sighs wistfully.::

*Tomoko looks sadly at her.*

Awwh no. That's really sad.

Well... *She looks around, then carefully takes the Key Mouse out of her purse.*

You can pet him, if you'd like. He's really friendly!

::Does so very quietly, awkwardly and quickly. She has the most stilted expression on your face.::

*The Key Mouse seems to enjoy the pets.*

I'm Kawasaki, Tomoko, by the way! I'm starting here on the Advanced Placement Programme in the new school year!

So that means you've got a big brain on those shoulders, kid?

Well, I try my best at everything and work as hard as I can.
You don't really achieve anything if you aren't motivated for it, and I really wanted the chance to come to school here!

Why's that?

::Crosses her arms a bit smug.::

Because a lot of people I know and admire came here!
And I want to continue studying Duel Monsters and grow as a duelist.

Though I'm thinking I might want to be a card artist more.
Or work with Duel Spirits, which is kinda what I do now in my free time!

Oh. I guess because I was really excited and I wanted to see what it was like to come to school here!
And the opportunity was there, so I applied for it!

*She looks around, then opens her purse. The moment she does, a little Key Mouse pokes it's little nose out, snuffling at the air.*

Reaches out a finger for Key Mouse to sniff at.*

*The Key Mouse sniffs at Slate's finger curiously. It then happily tries to nuzzle against it.*

Aww! He likes you!

*... pets the Key Mouse with the finger*

You can get in trouble for this, you know.

I knoooow, but he wanted to come.
And, well... I was a little nervous coming here too.

Well... this is your first big party, here? Correct?

Yeah! I've never gotten to go to one of the parties here before!
I kinda knew I'd be one of the youngest here and I REALLY wanted to make a good impression!
