Event Post 4 - Christmas Party Time!

It is the Friday before winter break, and of course, it's the day for Yuya's Christmas party at Duel Academy!! If you head to the practical dueling test area you will find it completely decked out in paper garlands, tinsel and baubles. There is music playing loudly in the room, which is mostly popular Japanese music, but also some occasional Christmas tunes mixed in. Most of the music is upbeat, but there are also some occasional slow pieces too!

Up on the top walkway is where the buffet of food is set up on tables with just about everything you could imagine being on offer (And yes, there is extra of the meat based foods, Akuma!) as well as a few punch bowls scattered about. There is also a really nice strawberry Christmas cake on one of the tables, feel free to take a slice everyone, it looks REALLY good.

Down the stairs is the bottom part of the room, which is being used as a big dance area for anyone who wishes to dance to the music.

Heeey, parties are all about eating whatever you want!

You should be trying to make sure you're not denying someone else that enjoyment then, when you've got a full plate already.

*He'd not thought about it like that before. He did have a lot of food already and he'd been at the party since it began... there could be someone who was late getting there and really wanted an eclair.
But... but it looks so good!
But he shouldn't take it. He should leave it for someone else.
But... so good...

While Yuma is having an internal crisis over whether to take the eclair or not, someone else takes it instead.*

A-ah! Wait--! Urgh...

*He looks so defeated.*

I guess I don't need to be the one to make your choice for you now, huh?

Don't worry, I bet by the time you're really finished with your plate, they might put a few more eclairs out.

And even if they don't there are still plenty more delicious things to eat!

*With that, he begins to eat what he has on his plate.*

Of course! There hasn't been a really good party or anything around the school recently, and I guess everyone deserves the break from schoolwork.

... Though I do expect you to at least keep up your reading on subjects, over the break, you know.

Well, usually people share out of kindness and such...
Argh, whatever. I guess even if I saw it first, you did grab it first. Besides, there's plenty of other great food about.

*With that, he picks up a skewer of Yakitori from the plate he has. You swear he eats all of it in one bite. Once he swallows it, he grins and looks back at the guy.*

So hey, I'm Tsukumo, Yuma! What's your name??

Not going to say anything, as there's a few other things she can pick off at the buffet and grin at you.

"I won't tell anyone, spiky."

Ahhh! Thanks, Kiko!

*Yuma grins happily as he takes the eclair off the table, before biting into it.*

She giggles for a second, but soon stops herself.

"Someone has to be the person to finish it, I'm glad to see you taking that initiative."

Nothing stops me when it comes to great food!

*He finishes off the eclair. That was so goooood!*

"I feel like you're someone who's not easily stopped by anything." She pops a piece of cheese into her mouth.

"So, are your classes going better now?"

*He seems to pause very briefly before replying.*

A-ah! Yeah, yeah! Something like that!

So hey, you enjoying the party so far?

*He changed that topic quick.*

"Nothing can stop you but school huh?" She laughs again.

"It's been good! I enjoy seeing everyone. ...But you should really try and focus better on class." You're not getting away from it that easily, Yuma.

*He cringes a little at that, but he grins through it.*

I know! I know! I'm working on it! I'm not failing at least.
