Event Post 4 - Christmas Party Time!
It is the Friday before winter break, and of course, it's the day for Yuya's Christmas party at Duel Academy!! If you head to the practical dueling test area you will find it completely decked out in paper garlands, tinsel and baubles. There is music playing loudly in the room, which is mostly popular Japanese music, but also some occasional Christmas tunes mixed in. Most of the music is upbeat, but there are also some occasional slow pieces too!
Up on the top walkway is where the buffet of food is set up on tables with just about everything you could imagine being on offer (And yes, there is extra of the meat based foods, Akuma!) as well as a few punch bowls scattered about. There is also a really nice strawberry Christmas cake on one of the tables, feel free to take a slice everyone, it looks REALLY good.
Down the stairs is the bottom part of the room, which is being used as a big dance area for anyone who wishes to dance to the music.
As always, feel free to make a thread, reply to other threads and have fun!
I encourage any hilarious party hijinks!

*Yuya seems surprised by the applause and looks towards the direction it's coming from to see Shinji stood by him. He rubs the back of his head a little, as he grins and slightly blushes.*
A-haha, I guess I got a little carried away with the song there, huh?

You're really good at singing.

Ah! Thank you! *He takes a small bow.* I appreciate the compliment!

I actually haven't, unless you count singing in groups for school events or plays when I was younger. I've never really sung on my own in front of an audience before. But I do like singing, and dancing. It's one of those things that feels really good when you express yourself through it.
Music is a great form of entertainment, even in action duels!
*Even in action duels??*

... You can sing during action duels?

A lot of the action fields are based on other forms of entertainment. I once got to see an action duel that was done on an opera stage field, where both opponents sung their every move. You don't have to sing, but it's more entertaining for the audience and more fitting for the field if you do.

I. I see. Sorry, it's almost kinda hard to imagine, since I'm really used to... Normal dueling, overall.

A lot of the stuff with Action Dueling is still really new around here, so I can understand that you're not used to the idea yet that with it, it's not just the duel that entertains, but how the duelist chooses to entertain their audience during it beyond the dueling itself.
Whether it's how they interact with the monsters and the field itself, to doing other things like singing or dancing or even putting on an act!

But they're at least fun to watch, even if it's not the style of dueling you'd do yourself.

Yes, I guess so.
What do you plan to do over the break, though?
no subject
What about you?

I guess seeing the display would be a good idea, though.

Yuzu and I decided to spend our first Christmas here since we haven't been here long, plus Maiami City is quite far away to travel too.

*Yuya smiles and nods happily.*
Ah! I'm thankful for everyone I've gotten to meet and make friends with here so far.

Yeah. Of course! I miss everyone back home.
I was originally a little undecided on whether to go back for the holidays or stay here, but after talking with my mom for a bit, she told me I should have as many experiences as I can with the people I've met here.

I think you'll at least enjoy yourself here, though.

I'm sure of it!
